It is what you call a labor of love. Hahaha!
No one can believe I did it pixel by pixel.
I think some people have styles for shortcuts. But I am just learning pixel art that’s why I did it per pixel. READ ON…
At first I wanted to draw Manga (Japanese Style of drawing) so I studied tutorials and ALMOST bought a book on Manga.
It was a good thing some of my friends advised me not to buy the book. I might have spent so much money for something that I wouldn’t use.
While browsing for Manga tutorials on the internet, I saw people discussing pixel art. I was intrigue by the way they made pixel art.
I started to draw my own pixel art. I started with a box. Then I went on to a table. A desk. A trashcan. Then I said… hey… why not make pixel art for my website.
And thus, my pixel images are born.
I will upload them here as soon as I finish some of my other works.

I don’t know any books for pixel art design. I just learned by visiting lots of pixel art websites and asking them for advice.
Trial and error will really help you realize that pixel art is not that hard.
Design is what will make it hard.
