Has anyone watched the movie “My Sassy Girl” by Director Gwak Jae-Yong? I’m not into romantic movies but this movie got me so engrossed I watched it numerous times already. The movie is so funny it’s great for watching with friends and romantic at the same time that it’s also a hit to watch with special friends. 
My favorite scene is when they were talking about this novel, “Shower” by Hwang Soon-won (Lower right photo above) …. The parents talk about the girl saying, “When I die, please bury me with my loving friend.” And they continue, “To bury him alive, even.” Gyun-woo shouts “This is wrong! This is wrong!” while he is being carried to be buried with his friend!

Synopsis:
Based on a series of true stories posted by Kim Ho-sik on the Internet describing his relationship with his girlfriend. These were later transformed into a best-selling book and the movie follows the book closely. It describes the meeting of Gyun-woo (Cha Tae Hyeon) and an unnamed girl (Jeon Ji-Hyeon). Gyun-woo is shamed into assisting the girl because the other passengers mistakenly think she is his girlfriend. Once he helps her, Gyun-woo develops a deep sense of responsibility for her which enables him to tolerate (somehow) the girls abuses.

1. Don’t ask her to be feminine.
2. Don’t let her drink over three glasses. She’ll beat someone.
3. At a cafe, instead of coke or juice, drink coffee.

When Kim (my officemate) started raving about “My Sassy Girl†I thought it was some kind of a sexually violent movie that men love to watch… but I was mistaken when I saw the back cover of the video. Intrigued by how much Kim and Fritz love and enjoyed the movie, I borrowed and watched it. To my surprise, I was laughing so hard (with tears) in less than 20 minutes and I occasionally pause the player to wipe my tears and read the sub-title. The next thing I know, my tears aren’t because of laughter anymore. I love this movie- the storyline is simple, funny, unpredictable and touches your heart too. Highly recommended to everyone (with PG rating). And yes, LOVE does come in unexpected situations. Enjoy watching!!!

i’ve never seen such classic comedy romantic movie as overwhelming as the sassy girl. SPLENDID!!! if anybody had seen serendipity and had fallen in love with the movie … sassy girl had surpassed that feeling. a different kind of movie … really unexplainable! REMARKABLE! The first part was really awsome … very funny … but as you go on watching it you’ll feel the love the actors, the director, the whole production would like to convey. Love really comes in different ways. Even a person who’d fallen out of LOVE will again feel LOVE after watching this movie. Before i watched the movie i thought it’s the typical meteor garden chinovela which is kindda korny for me … but when i saw my sassy girl … GOLLY!!! i can’t help myself but watch it over and over again. it’s not the type of romantic movies that you only wanna watch once coz if you’ll watch it again it’s not that exciting as you first saw it … with my sassy girl … it’s really hilarious and love filling. it’s not just a thumbs up movie for me … but … RAISE THE ROOF!!!
the best romantic movie i’ve ever seen!!! this preety lady has it all to making the movie so funny, cool yet so touching and endearing.. gyun -woo played also a very challenging part on the film. i love it so much and my family as well!!! 101% blockbuster!!! i have watched the film for several times already!! everyone should see this!!!
This movie is so cooooooooool! It is amazing and funny at the same time. I got the chance to see it at the Far East film festival in Udine, Italy. That’s where I live. Bye everyone!

this is a great movie…it captures your attention without you knowing it…it’s a funny movie, but in the end you will forget that it was a funny movie but rather a romantic movie. i love it a lot! I too, kept on watching it over and over again… full of twists…unpredictable…Jeon Ji-hyun cleverly conveyed the true nature of her character…not only does she have a pretty face but also a superb acting skill…my favorite scene is when “The Girl” stole a slap on Gyunwoo in the train…it’s definetly a top 3 movie for me…WATCH IT!
yeah. this movie was great. i heard that it will be tagalized in the local theatres. i dont know but i think they should just subtitle it as to preserve the original. anyways it will be made into a hollywood movie, which i think will star Rachel Leigh Cook. they should give justice to the original korean film. does anyone know where to download or view Ho-sik Kim’s journal?
damn.. i love my sassy girl.. this movie really captured, not just my heart but my whole being!! i have only seen it once and i feel im missing a big part of my life still.. a want to watch it again..

I agree to all people who posted earlier. It’s a movie that makes you feel dazed for days. I watched this movie months ago, but the feeling of “being in limbo” is still there. I dunno where my cuz got his copy, but i’m still very lucky to have the chance to watch it over and over and over and over again.
this movie was a kind of a huge fad back in the early 2000’s. the main actress, Jeon, Ji-hyun became the most famous and big-time celebrity in Korea after the release of this move.
this movie is so cool, romantic and touching. you can feel the same as what you may feel or already felt when you fall in love with someone in the past. and you can also find youself expecting another romantic and true love in the future after finishing this movie.

i loooooveeee this movie!!! i just fell in love with it. i’ve seen it several times and it ranks as my all-time favorite romantic comedy. i’ve seen other korean romantic comedies as well after seeing my sassy girl and i could say that the koreans really know how to make a romantic comedy work. anyways, just wanted to know how you folks feel about the news that rachael leigh cook has won the title role. personally, i am disappointed. i really think that they should have gotten an asian actress to play the role. but just the same, i hope and pray that hollywood will make a decent version of this much-loved movie.

i watched the movie because all my officemates have already watched it…i’m not into korean movies before, i was just curious that’s why i watched it…after the movie, it changed my views about korean melodramas. the movie was great and i was moved so deeply…you should watch the original because i heard there will be a remake of this…jun ji hyun is great…and really cute too…

this is the best romantic-comedy movie ever. this movie is kinda unique. versatile movie as i call it. it has the combinations of comedy, action, drama and of course romance. if i will have a boyfriend i want him to watch this over and over again, of course we’re watching together. the best….

This is the second greatest movie i have ever watched… at first i thought, “masyadong madrama”, then lately i was amazed by the amzing storyline!!! wala akong masabi!!!! this movie is recommended to all asian movie fanatics, so i call out those people… also, try watching gto(Live tv Series 1-12), this movie is all about a male gang leader(Kanagawa 2000, Eikichi Onizuka “Onichi”) who wants to be a teacher, then founds himself hired by the director of the school who demands changes within the school, he founds himself struggling between his coworkers and his classroom, with all the pain and problems… but still he ends up winning the school and his favorite madonna teacher(azusa Fuyutsuki)… sequel is gto-live-tv-special, then the movie… the two teachers here(Onizuka, fuyutsuki) were enganged in the real life, after making the series in 1999, they were merried in 2001… what a coincidence… ok, thats all…

At a cafe, drink coke or juice, not coffee,” but instead, it should be “At a cafe, instead of coke or juice, drink coffee.” that’s why everytime gyun-woo orders something[coke or juice] the girl changes it to coffee after asking gyun-woo if he wanna die.

in my life, i’d never thought that some1 could come up with a movie could make me happy and sad at the same time. up to this time, i still watch My Sassy Girl every chance i get. this movie is quite romantic, hilarious, and is a good lesson for those who is incredibly unsweet to their girlfriend. Oh by da way, the song i believe perfectly fits the story line….. you know what, i realized that Jeon ji-hyun(iuno wat her name is in the movie)is the type of women that i’ve been lookin for 2 spend my life with… haha acts all cute/cherry around you.. wen u order coke she’ll be like “yah..Chule? coffee masho!(hey, wanna die? drink coffee)”….. she’s my dream girl. i wish i could find some1 like her…..
the only thing that bugs me about this movie is….. HOW COME I NEVER HEARD HER NAME BEING CALLED UP? what the hell is Jeon ji-hyun’s(the girl) name in this movie? lolz n e wayz… if you think that you’ve watched the best movie, think again, for this movie will quite make you forget the rest!

I LOVE THIS MOVIE SOOOOO MUCH! The movie is great. I felt the girl when she was crying in the mountain. I love it from start to finish. It’s the best movie i’ve ever watched! The only one that made me laugh and cry. Jun is very pretty and since her crying affected me so much i watched her other movies. Widnstruck, which they say is the prequel of the movie since its about the death of Jun’s boyfriend, is also nice.I also love the song I Believe and Canon. I keep on watching the movie and the music videos everytime i get a chance.This movie is highly recommended to everyone. Try watching Windstruck too.
