Motorola E398
My company gave me another phone to test… Motorola E398.
After testing V600, it seems Motorola is improving in their usability compared to Nokia. Now Motorola is releasing E398! A new sensory experience!

Here are the features:

I love the rhythm lights. It changes colors with every call. The flash works well not only for photo ops but for looking stuff in the dark as well. hehehe!

    This phones fantastic! I’ve only had it for 2 days and pretty much no problems. The only thing is I’m looking for a driver or instructions for Mac OSX so I can sync my address book either via USB or Bluetooth

    I use Linux - Fedora Core 3 and it works fine with my Motorola E398, though you may need to use that distro (Fedora Core) or some other Linux distro to first detect the phone. Simply plug the mobile to your pc and install Linux and/or use the liveCD with linux. Then (if needed) mount the mobile phone’s memory card using the usermount command - the card should be seen as FAT - Microsoft Windows formatted partition/disk. If in doubt, consult linux forums. Also: there is a “beta” release of Fedora Core 4 - perhaps you should play a bith with that as usually the newer the linux distribution the better its hardware support.

    BTW: Fedora Core is free of charge and available on the internet. No time limit, no ads no other hooks.

    Can anyone please help me.. i have windows 98 and just bought the Motorola E398 but i cannot download my mp3s onto it because it says there is no driver?! also i dont know if this is related but even though the fone and computer are connected by the provided USB the mp3 software that came with the phone keeps saying ‘connect fone’ please help… my email is eeep@hotmail.com maz x x x

    for XP you dont require driver. change the “USB Setting” in “connection” under “settings” to Memory card. You cannot access the in-build phone memory.

    Oigan yo tambien compre el inche fon de Motorola y me las estoy viendo negras, conecte el telefono con el cable USB y se me borraron los archivos que tenia, eran juegos por supuesto pero tampoco puedo jugarlos, alguien que me eche la mano sin alburear, les agradezco su ayuda gracias.

    Well I hope you understand spanish, if not let me ask this again, I’m algo looking for the drivers for XP, and also I dont know how to play the games I download, this is getting really frustratin, this cellphone seems to be very complicated for gaming, well any way if someone can help it will be rewarded, thanks.

    Yeah, the E398 is junk - buggy, slow, and the crappy covering falls off, and it becomes a weird shiny plastic ugly thing. And Motorola sucks because they don’t offer any driver downloads. And their software doesn’t work, and their phone is crap.
