Ashanti

I was fortunate enough to be gifted with front row seats to Ashanti’s Concert in Manila.
What I didn’t realize was that when they said it was at the front row it was the 1st row seats.

Nikka and I were surprised to be seated that close to Ashanti. Our seats were A3 and A4. We were so close to her that when we shouted she would reply back!

The concert was quite enjoyable but it did not meet my expectations. It was short and full of lapses. There were moments that nothing was going on. However, I enjoyed the night more by being with Nikka. That was the best part.

Kathleen & Promotion

Today is the death anniversary of my dear niece Kathleen. At her tender young age of 4, she was diagnosed with Leukemia. She could have been 19 this year. She joined our creator at 7. She was a very brave girl. She wouldn’t want me to remember the sad moment of her passing but the fun that we had together.

She considered me as her role model. So I did my best to be the best role model she could have. She left me with a stronger sense of pride and belief that someday… things will be better.

Today, I believe she would be proud of me…
Today on her anniversary she gave me a gift, I received note from my boss… I’ve been promoted!

A lot of people have been asking about it. And now I can officially admit it!
I’m very thankful to my bosses for this promotion!
Sorry but I don’t have any celebration planned yet. Maybe soon.

Thank you Kaye! I really miss you! Thank you.

Amazing Race 7

Uchenna & Joyce wins Amazing Race 7!!!

My sister and I were rooting so much for this couple to win. They went through a lot of hard challenges and yet managed to pull through.

Joyce had her hair shaved as part of a challenge.
They lost their money and had to beg for some spare change.
They were at the last place and pulled it off to win first.

One thing that probably helped them win was the couple’s compassion for other people. Uchenna unconditionally helped other teams especially Meredith and Gretchen. Joyce was not nagging or overly competitive as other partners were. They would not do things to confuse other teams or direct them to the wrong path. In the end, all teams ended up rooting for them.

My family and I spent a weekend at Anilao, Batangas. My officemate, Lorenz Racelis, was kind to lend us his family’s private beach house. It was quite a tiring drive but it was worth it. We were all able to feel relaxed and blessed to be enjoying the summer together!
