Last week, I was invited by my colleagues to do mountain biking. They suggested numerous types of bikes. I was intrigued as I used to do extreme biking when I was younger (like middle school, hehe!).
They suggested Giant, Merida, Orbea, Mosso… but heck, they are a lot expensive than what I planned. So I looked into another suggested bike… Trek.
I went to their website and looked up their bikes. I saw one that fit my budget and style. This is probably a fad hobby to me so I didn’t want to spend much. I just want to buy a starter bike and see where it leads me.
I saw from the Trek Website, the Trek 3700 - Matte Black. So I went to the store last weekend and checked out the bike.
I was offered the Trek 3900 with the disc brakes. But as of this moment, I’ll just be starting out mountain biking so I don’t want to spend a lot on a starter bike. I would like to be able to upgrade the parts later on.
I eventually bought the Trek 3700. The assembly was quick and painless. Well, the dealer assembled it painlessly. hahaha! The parts are using quick release mechanisms anyway.
I didn’t buy any hydration pack/bladder or drink holder as I already have a hydration pack from my airsoft games.
And now… I have a new hobby… mountain biking!
