Blogging and the internet

While I was browsing the internet I happen to chance upon a blog. It was part of an anonymous blogging community where you can create an anonymous profile and start blogging.

At first, I thought it was just an ordinary blog. But I kept on reading what she was saying. The first topic I read was about her being married and yet her neighbors are flirting with her. One neighbor even kissed her when he asked her about something.

And in this blog of hers, she would ask for opinion from the community. The community would really try to give her sound advice.

It made me realize in awe how the internet has changed the way people interact with other people. Yeah, I’m a computer science major and I work for a telecommunications company but sometimes the internet would still amaze me.

Anyway, she goes on ranting about things. And because it’s anonymous, she would talk about things I wouldn’t normally read in a blog. She would talk about the elusive “O” or that she’s having trouble with her husband sexually because they don’t want to have kids anymore or her boss would look at online porn while she’s there. And in one topic she asked the community if it was just her or every wife would like to be a lady in public but a whore in bed. Whoa! I dunno… maybe because I got so busy with work that blogging has evolved and left me behind. hehehe!

And so the anonymous blogging has taken much of my time or just maybe the topics she has written… hehehe… but it made me remember the first time I made my website, 1996. At that time, the contents of my website were collection of links and nothing more. There was no blogging, no gallery, no forums. Now we have communities, we have galleries, and of course, blogging.

Our way of interacting with each other has changed. We are now capable of communicating and getting advice from people we don’t even know. It has gone beyond our cultural differences. A lot has changed and I am so glad everyone is now embracing the development of new technologies.

In the blog that I visited, she would always end her blog with a question. Now I have a question of my own for you my visitors.

How was your milk this morning?

(Just in case you’re curious, I’m not really asking about the drink. It’s a saying from one of my professors. - Go figure!)
