Good Morning America Dances The Papaya Song!

As I was watching Good Morning America, I saw the hosts preparing to dance the Papaya Song.

I couldn’t believe I was hearing the chorus, then the hosts started to dance the Papaya song. Diane Sawyer, Robin Roberts, Chris Cuomo, and Sam Champion all danced the Papaya dance craze that Edu Manzao started!

The song was made by Urszula Dudziak in the 90’s. And Edu Manzano recently started a dance craze in the Philippines using that song.

Somehow it was quite late for them, most of the people in the Philippines are tired of hearing the song over and over again. hehe! But what is cool is that Edu probably didn’t think his dance craze would be called the next “Macarena”.

A lot of my friends have been asking for this song. I haven’t seen the dance but I was told this is the one where Edu Manzano dances with the audience. Actually, he dances a lot of songs with the audience but this has become well-known because of his “dance moves”. hehe! :jittery_tb:

The song is made by Urszula Dudziak. And the title of the song is Papaya. :laugh_tb:

It took me quite a long time to find it. But finally I got one and I’m sharing it!

Rush Hour by Thinkfun

I’ve been trying to save up for Rush Hour for over 3 months now. But I always end up buying something else. hehehe!

Now you may think this is just an ordinary toy but noooo… this is so addicting you won’t notice the time. I brought it in the office and we ended up playing it instead of having a meeting. hahaha!

What is Rush Hour?
Rush Hour is a simple game about a car (Your red car) caught in a traffic jam. Now your objective is to slide the blocking cars and trucks out of your way until you get to leave the traffic grid. You cannot lift or pick up any blocking cars or trucks.

There are 40 challenge cards with the solution printed at the back. They are divided into four levels of difficulty: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. After playing, these cards can be safely tucked away underneath the road grid.

This is one toy I REALLY recommend for everyone to buy. Kids and adults will enjoy it. People here in the office are taking turns solving the 40 challenges.

You can even play it online:

Siemens S65

Siemens S65

My company gave me another phone to test, Siemens S65. According to Howie Ticzon, our Handsets and Sims Expert, this is one of the first phone to have an integrated 1.3 Mega pixel digital camera. He gave this phone to me so I can test the camera features and its usability.

It is quite big compared to the other phones I’ve been testing. However, it does fit in my palm. And it looks quite impressive. More like a yuppie type of phone.

I am not impressed with the phone’s large 65,000 color display. The images are distorted. Okay, the images are sharp and you won’t probably notice the distortion much. But what made me notice was one photo I had with Katrina Halili, my left eye looked half the size of my right eye. And I know my eyes are of the same size. :D

The 1.3 Mega pixel digital camera is VERY DISAPPOINTING! Nokia 7650 captures better photos than this. The Nokia 7650 may not sport a 1.3 Mega pixel camera and it might be a little blurry, at least the photo is smoother. The Siemens S65 captures photos full of dots. I wouldn’t take photos with it including take videos.

Games, now this is THE ONLY phone that has a built-in game that I truly love… WORMS! I have always spent a lot of my college time just playing this simple game. It is very addicting. Now that I can play it in a mobile phone means I can relive my past gaming addictions. Oh yeah, Siemens also added 2 built-in games, Battleship and Siemends 3D Rally. Both are equally good.

The Siemens S65 can also be fitted with the packaged 32MB external memory card. Now that’s plenty of space to put data into.

Messaging is quite acceptable. You can even send to multiple recipients in one sending. It just doesn’t have an outbox. There is an unsent folder but it doesn’t use it the way I hoped it would. So if sending a message fails you have to manually send it again.

It has the basic organizer feature set like calendar, tasks, notes, calculator, world time, voice recorder, and appointments.

Overall, the phone is acceptable. It has a lot of good functionalities that balances the bad ones. But if these good functionalities can be found in other phones with exceptional features, then why buy the Siemens S65? Well, it’s probably because you want to look great like Brad Pitt who used it in his latest movie, Ocean’s Twelve. Hehehe! But that’s another story.

Petals Around The Rose

Alex Ibrado has given me a new link:
Petals Around The Rose

The game is simple. You have 5 dice that you roll. You then have to “compute” the value of the rolled dice.
At first you will be stumped. The solution is very simple that you’ll say, “Why didn’t I think of that before?”

Just remember the title is very important to solve the game or puzzle. :)
