Wow! People are really into giving free web space… 2GB!!!

How is goowy.com different to gmail, yahoo, and 30gigs?
Well, goowy is flash-based. Which means they can provide more features and customizing that normal web-based email services cannot provide.

Aside from the normal email, and calendar space… you get to have your own game space… currently they have 42 games. Yes, Yahoo has their own games as well but these are the games you play on your old consoles. Kinda like reminiscing the past!

They have skinning features as well… you get to change the background of your email desktop. And the interface is simple and non-intrusive.

Of course, the good news about it… you don’t need any invitation to sign up. You can just sign up on their main page and voila! You have your own goowy space!

Enjoy!

Here is a screenshot of goowy.com which I customized with a relaxing background:

After Gmail… what will people think of next?

30Gigs.com!

What is 30Gigs.com? Here is an excerpt from their website:
“30Gigs.com started off with the idea of creating a “All in one” site for the webmaster and avid computer users. Combining personal file storage, GD2 signatures and anonymous email all in one service, which would be free. Our main goal is to increase our space even further, to 50 gigs, or maybe 100 as time goes on. 30Gigs.com is still in a very heavy beta, and if you are a member, please help us to make it the best mail server there is. We will be offering a section for personal file storage (up to 30 gigs) and a GD2 signature maker to keep your email safe from spam robots. We also offer a unique feature, which allows you to send a email from any address you want. This is very usefull if you have multiple accounts linked to your 30Gigs.com account, and want to send a email from john@otherservice.com so you dont confuse the sender.”

I finally got my own account in 30Gigs.com! As soon as my invitation spool replenishes I will offer invites to everyone. My 7 invite spool is already used up so I need it to be replenished for me to offer invites.

Yahoo 360

I was fortunate enough to be invited to Yahoo! 360° Beta testing. It is similar to Friendster but with added features like blogging and photo gallery.

The neat thing about Yahoo! 360° is that you can link it to your existing yahoo id. This means that your yahoogroups, photos, IM contact list, notes, and address book can be accessed in one location. This is like an enhanced version of Yahoo! My Page with a friendster-like feature.

Of course, just like Gmail, it is only through invitation that you get to have access to it. Let me know if you want to try it out, I still have 100 invites left.
