Going Somewhere…

There comes a point in your life when you just want to go somewhere… but you don’t know where. You feel that you are called to somewhere but you don’t know where.

I’ve been traveling to different countries since I was 9 years old. I’ve been to the relaxing Grand Cayman in the Caribbean… partied with friends in Curacao, Netherlands… attended mass in Puerto Rico… saw the beauty of Venezuela… crossed the Panama Canal… experienced the civil war in El Salvador… snowboarded in the USA… ate my first “clean” snow in Canada… brought my nephew to Hong Kong… stuttered some college Nihongo in Japan… dined with new friends in Indonesia… worked in Malaysia… met a beautiful Russian friend while working in Thailand. These are some of the memorable places I’ve been to.

It has made me thinking… there is still more to life than working in an office. My mountain biking has been giving me the chance to experience the outdoors. Yet, I’m still yearning for more.

Europe perhaps? What is stopping me? Cost? Time? Like I said… I dunno.

But what I noticed is that… traveling is fun when I travel with friends. It is sooo lonely to travel alone… to be in a foreign country alone. So I end up talking to the person sitting next to me in the train… the bus… the cable cars. I’ve just been lucky that these people I meet along the way have been very nice and friendly.

Hey, one of them might have been you. Thank you for visiting my site. Thank you for welcoming me to your country. Thank you for showing me around. And thank you for allowing me to become a part of your life. You have influenced my life in one way or another.

Anyway, I don’t really know where to go… I guess I just miss my friends. Most of them have gone to different countries. My best buddy is in the US. We used to party in LA all night! And sometimes after planning a get-together of friends and relatives… I’m sent to another country on the day of the party.

I am lost… I don’t know where I am… and I don’t know where I wanna be… have you ever felt this way before?

30-Dec-05 is the LAST Day of PROPS-C Training

I can’t get it out of my head… Malaysia Truly Asia!

6:00AM
It was a good thing… the hotel’s wake up call woke me up! It’s our last day of training! I went down and met Earle for breakfast. We then went back to our rooms to get ready.

7:00AM
I took a quick bath, got dressed, and went down to the lobby.

7:45AM
I got to the lobby and asked for my running bill. Yup, it’s in the budget. Hehehe!

8:00AM
The shuttle bus was a bit late. Hehehe! It arrived at 8:10AM. Mwehehe!

8:50AM
We settled down and checked our mails.

9:10AM
The last day of Ericsson’s PROPS-C training has started. We reviewed what we have discussed the other day. Something like a summary of what we have learned so far. I can’t believe we’ve tackled so much for almost 3 days.

10:30AM
We took our break. People were now more open to photo ops. Hehehe!

11:00AM
We resumed our training. We took some case studies. The topic is quite tiring. It’s quite confidential and I can’t discuss it here. :D

12:00NN
Lunch Break. The cafeteria guy was kind to offer me a not too spicy chicken, some coleslaw, vegetables, and rice. This is our last lunch together so people were quite talkative and discussing a lot of things. It was great asking each other about one’s cultural differences.

1:00PM
We went back to our training. The last fews topics are very tiring. Maybe because everyone was thinking of going home or maybe there were too many computations. The tiring part is not the computation but the interpretation of the case study that could lead you to a successful computation or not.

3:30PM
Ericsson’s PROPS-C Training has officially ended. Everyone started calling me. I was wondering why. Then it dawned on me they all wanted their photos taken during the awarding of their certificate of completion.

Everyone had a wonderful time! “Hey visit us sometime in Vietnam!”, “I’ll see you soon!”, “It was great meeting you!”

4:15PM
Everyone has said their last goodbyes and left the office for the hotel. Viji was kind to offer his car to take us to our hotel since our shuttle bus won’t arrive until 5:00PM.

5:00PM
We got back to the hotel. We thanked Viji for the wonderful training and for taking us back to our hotel. It was quite raining so Earle and I decided to just let the rain subside first before we go to Kuala Lumpur. We went to our rooms to rest.

6:00PM
I started fixing my luggage. Since it was still raining, I took a nice warm bath.

7:00PM
Earle and I went to the mall to eat and to buy some electronics. I had my money exchanged to ringgits. We went back to the camera store. To make it short, I bought JVC GR-D290 for 15k++ ringgit.

8:00PM
Earle and I settled at Sushi King. Earle said the food was not at par with his taste. I told him I didn’t really care for the taste but for the ambiance. Hehehe! There was a group of ladies dining. ;)

9:00PM
We went to the bookstore. I wanted to buy a unique book for my girlfriend. I couldn’t find any. Then a magazine caught my eye… FHM Malaysia! I used to work for Summit Media. We used to make FHM Philippines. I wondered what the content of FHM Malaysia is so I bought the magazine and it had a free FHM Malaysia Calendar. Cool!

9:30PM
We went to the grocery. I bought my nephew some chocolate gifts. I also bought my girlfriend this big Hershey’s Kiss. It’s just one piece of Hershey’s Kisses. But it’s big. It’s worth collecting though. “I’m home! Here’s one big KISS for you!” Hehehe!

10:00PM
We went back to the hotel to bring our things back. It’s our last night in Malaysia, so… Hehehe!
