Although this has been rumored for quite a long time now… as of today, Jan. 16 2008, Sun Microsystems has purchased MySQL.
I’ve been a MySQL user since 2000. And I’d really hate it if MySQL changes its open source policy. However, Kaj Arno gives some info for the MySQL community regarding the open source policy.
