MESEDILLA STUDIOS v9.0 (HH)

A friend of mine from church, Francis Keating, is having a photography exhibit with his students. The exhibit, Budapest Through Alien Eyes, is at Kossuth Klub (Múzeum utca).

Szabolcs and I met two new friends in the exhibit, Funzine Magazine editors, Ana and Amy. Funzine is probably the only local English magazine here in Budapest for expats. They gave me the latest issue of their magazine.

As I went around browsing the internet for unique stories, I stumbled upon a photographer named Michael Hughes.

What intrigued me about his work was the uniqueness of his hobby, taking cheap souvenirs and using them as part of his photographs of the real landmarks.

Here are some photos that he took:

Great Sphinx of Giza – Egypt

Michael has just released his book aptly titled, Souvenirs. It has 20 photos in postcard format. I think you can actually use it as a postcard.
