I left Sun Cellular last December 07, 2005.
It was a difficult decision that I had to make. I left friends and colleagues that I’ve grown used to.

This is the letter of farewell that I sent to my colleagues.

December 07, 2005

Dear friends,

As most of you know, today is my last day of work with Sun Cellular. It has been a wonderful stay here in Sun Cellular. I learned a lot from each and every one of you.

I have enjoyed every moment of my stay in Sun Cellular. I won’t ever forget the parties and special events we’ve all been to. What makes it more memorable is being treated like VIPs at exclusive parties. I have to thank my bosses and peers: Boss Dom Danao, Boss Ling Arana, Boss Ardie Balderrama, Boss Alex Ibrado, Edwin Medalla, Paolo Castaneda, Euge Hernandez, Brian Nilayan, and Vernier Umali for all those nights (and mornings). Salamat sa mga inuman at mga gimmick! Malamang may hihirit dito! hehehe!

I also need to thank Jessica Blas, Kharen Limfueco, Finnie Bonifacio, Rox Pantangco, and Boss Dino Francisco for all the magazines, movie premieres and front-row concert tickets you’ve shared with my family and me.

I won’t forget Code 02, Sun Cellular’s own homegrown band. It was my first time to really perform in a band. I have enjoyed playing the drums and the guitar last Xmas 2004. Thank you to Mike Austria (Guitar), Jasper Raflores (Guitar), Paolo Fernando (Guitar), Rosen Rosete (Keyboards), Dan Sabate (Bass), Mark Pascua (Drums), Raddy Pineda (Vocals) and Aris Salvador (Vocals) for the wonderful memories. Natupad rin ang aking matagal nang ambisyong tumugtog sa madla!

To my lunch buddies, the Food Court Gang (Marc Racal, Caloy Gomez, Rachel Sto. Domingo, Grace Vega , Howie “sniper” Ticzon, Charlie Mortiga, and Ali Dimaya), I am thankful to you as well for making our lunches affordable and fun. Hehehe! I won’t forget yung mga asaran natin at kulitan.

Aside from my departure from Sun Cellular, it is also my farewell to the Summit Group. When I graduated college at 2000, I started working for Ms. Lisa Gokongwei at Summit Media. I was with them for 2 years when Ms. Lisa offered me a chance to go to the US. I took that chance with a deal that if things don’t work out well I would just go back home. To make my story short, I came back home and Ms. Lisa offered me work at Overture Media. Overture Media is the content aggregator of Digitel Mobile Philippines (We weren’t named Sun Cellular then). I stayed with Overture Media for another 2 years until I was transferred to Sun Cellular’s VAS Marketing last 2004.

So you see, this is my first time to leave my safety zone. I’ve been with friends and colleagues within the Summit Group ever since I graduated college. Now, it is my chance to venture out to another company where I would be able to conquer new challenges, meet new people, and travel to different countries.

Of course, my farewell wouldn’t be complete without thanking you. We have worked together in one way or another and I am thankful for that opportunity. Maliit and mundo at magkikita pa rin tayo!

It has been a real pleasure working with all of you and learning from you! Thank you for all your support. You all take care! Ayt! =)

My personal e-mail address is fritz[at]mesedilla.com. Keep in touch!
You can also check out some of our photos at my website at: http://www.mesedilla.com/gallery/ (Consider it like product placement! hehehe!)

All best wishes,

Motorola MPx220

Motorola MPx220

Howie Ticzon Sun Cellular’s handsets expert gave me another phone to play with. Motorola MPx220.

The phone looks and feels like any other phone. BUT it still doesn’t compare to a Sony Ericsson K700i or the K750i. It has solitaire and other windows games to take most of your time. The menu system is similar to a windows computer. By the way, it looks like Windows XP.

Oh crap! the phone hanged as I’m doing this review. “Bootloader blah blah blah!” Time to take out the battery and restart the phone.

One thing that makes me wonder… how come the battery of MPx220 only lasts half a day? I have my SE K700i paired with my SE bluetooth headset and yet they both last 2 or more days.

If you have the extra moolah and don’t mind the constant restarting of the phone — Hehehe! — then you might want to check this out yourself. Otherwise, don’t even bother with this phone.

Oh man! I’m not kidding but it hanged on me again.

Let’s see what Motorola has to say:

  • Windows Mobile software allows compatibility with Windows Mobile applications such as Pocket Outlook® and Pocket Internet Explorer and is designed to match and transpose the Outlook desktop experience
  • Global Quad Band Performance (850/900/1800/1900)
  • Integrated 1.2 megapixel camera, multi-step zoom, flash and self-portrait capabilities make it possible to capture your business and personal encounters with ease
  • Bluetooth® wireless technology and speaker phone allow hands free conversations
  • 64MB Flash ROM and mini-SD removable memory for extra storage
  • MMS messaging features for sending pictures, animations, wallpaper, icons and more
  • Downloading capabilities for adding on new games, musical ringtones, business applications and more at any whim
  • A wide array of companion products are available to enhance the wireless experience

Yup yup!!! Mesedilla Studios has turned 3 years today!

Sorry I haven’t finished the new pixel header. I’ve been so busy lately. I will really try to finish it as soon as possible.

Thank you again for the support you have been giving me for the past years!

Oh yeah, Sun Cellular has also launched its own P2P service, Give-a-Load, to all postpaid subscribers today. We will launch it to the prepaid subscribers soon. This is my baby project!!!

Ang ganda ganda ni Kitchie Nadal! :D
She was our guest performer in Sun Cellular’s launching of 24/7 Call And Text Unlimited.

Of course, we were also entertained by our very own endorser, Jay-R! He’s really cool! But that’s another story.

Let’s go back to cute Kitchie! She was very friendly. She conversed with me and my officemates for a few minutes. It was dark yet her lips shone like fresh red roses. ;) She got me. Yup, she got me bad!
